CONFIGURE PEPLINK CAPTIVE PORTAL WITH INCONTROL2

In this article we will briefly explain how to configure a captive portal (Hotspot) with devices through InControl2.
As the Peplink Captive Portal is hosted in the “cloud” (Incontrol2) we can use any and  to use this Captive Portal functionality.
Note: If we only use  to configure our portal, we will be limited to the functions that an access point gives you, so there will be no VLAN management. (It will only allow us to add a TAG in the SSID in case we have a team that manages VLAN behind the AP)
To use a Peplink captive portal , it is essential to have the subscription of “ ontrol 2 ”. The “ InControl 2 ” management portal is free during the first year of warranty, then you can choose to renew the subscription annually.
The configuration is relatively simple, and it is not necessary to have advanced knowledge in networks to perform it successfully.
We will divide this guide into 4 basic steps that would be in order:
Step 1 - Add our equipment in “ InControl2 ”
Step 2 - Portal configuration. With guest access, email and social media. Step 3 - Setting up the guest VLAN.
Step 4 - SSID configuration.
Step 1: Adding our equipment to InControl
To add a device in InControl 2 , we must access the URL https://incontrol2.peplink.com with our email and password
We go to " Organization Settings → Add Devices ".
